my omina will not power up at all

Hi ever one I am new to this,here is my problem i tried to update my phone (I910 OMINA)with the new verizon rom , everthing was going great the phone rebooted in update started loading all of a sudden the phone turned it self of after 1min. the instruction on the screen stated to soft reset,thefhone never came back on NEVER. the phone is stock no cook rom no installed apps. the phone never never came on. hardreset nothing. took battery out put back in nothing,
The phone was full charged before i started the upgrade ANY ONE KNOW WHAT HAPPEN.

Hard to say could be a freak accident... possible this didn't have anything to do with the update. about 3 months ago i just soft reset mine cause it was getting a bit sluggish and yeah that was it. it wouldn't turn on or anything. if you can't get it to respond at all just bring it to the verizon store and get a new one.

sounds like u bricked and you can try to get it replaced by verizon... and u sure it does nothing?

Power indicator showing light when connected to charger? how did you hard reset if the phone will not turn on? I'm confused

Nothing works pluged in the charger no ,nothing happen, tried hard reset nothing . I took it back to verizon tech department they don't know. They
replaced it (ordered a another one) . Can Verizon do the upgrade ,or I might not even worry about the upgrade if Its causing all kinds of problem.

The store cannot do the upgrade. As far as functionality, it is worth doing it. Read through lioryte's thread and you shouldn't have any trouble making it work.

I will never upgrade the new software because it might happen again. Samsung. Verizon who ever should have made the upgrade more user friendly. If verizon don't do it
it will never get done.

Well you might get lucky with the replacement phone. Most replacements will already have new software installed, they do come from the manufacturer after all. Keep in mind Verizon is the service carrier, tech support can assist you in doing the upgrade, and there are many great people here that can help you through it as well.

I had good luck with the Samsung help line mentioned in the Samsung web site update instructions. Of course, it took me about 20 minutes to get past the level one and level two to the level three support, but once I did, the person I dealt with was very knowledgable and helpful.
