Currently have a sprint touch pro..wanna switch to VZ

I'd like to switch to verizon just because at least in my area there service is much better....anyone go from a touch pro to an omnia? I really like the look of the phone and the bigger screen, but anything I need to know that I won't like...crappy battery life, crippled from VZ like the VZ touch pro is?? Just looking for some input...or is there another phone coming out soon that will be better?? I'd like to stick to Windows Mobile...Thanks.
