Was there ever fix to the problem of getting an MMS picture and the Omnia resizing it

Basically, it's the same problem in this thread:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1491727

I found an old thread on here but that never solved my problem.

Does anyone else have this problem? It's really annoying to get a 13kb picture from friends, and I can't even see what it is.

Re: Was there ever fix to the problem of getting an MMS picture and the Omnia resizin

I posted this a long while ago and I had sincerely hoped that the new ROM would fix the problem but sadly it didn't. I reinstalled Arcsoft again so I would be able to receive large pic messages like my old dumb phone could lol.

It is a bummer but you can use pimg.exe and it will send photos very easily.

Re: Was there ever fix to the problem of getting an MMS picture and the Omnia resizin

Oh you can actually use Picture Manager (pimg.exe) since it allows you the choice of how you want to send the image (allowing you to choose email, mms, etc). Sometimes other picture programs such as Media Album or sending directly via the Camera.exe program will choose the native MMS to send which ends up being composed in the disabled MMS folder (disabled after installing Arcsoft that is, which has it's own SMS/MMS combined folder).

The biggest issue of this entire thing is just not being able to receive normal sized pic messages

I'm perfectly happy with the above solution. It just made my day. Thanks were in order, so the original post was thanked.

The only problem I see after I did this is now when I get sent an MP3 file, the phone turns it into a QCP file and it gets shrunk. The QCP file doesn't do anything.
