I use Resco Explorer and I know it works. As far as backing up the original, it's not necessary. The file is already backed up in ROM. If you want to restore the original, just delete the one you copied and soft reset, it will be restored from ROM automatically.
Thank you very much, finally got it to work BUT the battery meter is not showing (actually, it wasn't showing before I copied over the original dll). What settings do I need to change to make the battery show in the task bar? When I first got the omnia the battery meter showed in the task bar but somehow along the way the battery meter no longer shows. I'm sure it's because of some settings change I made.

settings/clock and alarms/more tab at bottom/uncheck display clock...........

I know this a slightly outdated thread, but I thought I would post it here anyway. I am using the Bgill55 v55 rom, and was wondering if anybody knew of a way to keep the clock from switching to the local timezone? I work in the airlines and go through several timezones each day, and I don't want it to switch from Central Time. Thanks!
