Anyone know if this update will wipe the 'My Storage' too? Did the Saga's update wipe more than just the device memory?

You know, they probably have a team working on this that is broken into different sections. One is a development team, one is a requirements team, one is a test team, one is a support team that writes the info sheets for customer and tech service, one is the training team that write instructions and faq's and one might be the implementation team that owns the overall plan. At least that's how I would run it (and I've ran this type of stuff in the past).

So - the training and implementation group has the instructions / how to data written and they put it up on the web to make sure links work, information is correct and spelled correctly and so they can get final sign-off from the proect manager. Only problem is that some intern working for the training test team put the thing on the web LIVE instead of inside their firewall - and the user community got freaked out.

This could still be in development - but more likely it's in test. I hope I'm wrong but I bet their rollout will be over the weekend with a go live on Monday so they don't hang a bunch of users over the weekend without support.

So - hang in there - it'll happen eventually.

Could this all be an elaborate hoax? Some programmer doing this to get everyone excited and that is why the pages keep going down, Verizon and Samsung trying to shut the sites down?

Kind of movie-ish, but who knows today.

No hoax.

A Verizon network tech at pdaphonehome.com was running CC20 weeks before we ever had it. After that he ran CC26, and then was on CF03 for several weeks before announcing a week ago that CF03 has been approved for final release.

That, coupled with the fact that an official Samsung website is up confirming the version (CF03) and that said website has actual screenshots of the upgrade utility flashing an Omnia - yea, I'd say this is the real deal. Let not your heart be troubled
