When it does, we'll have access to the ROM, link or no... Just have to guess the file name... which should be something along the lines of

I haven't had the honor of having a device to flash before the Omnia (Treo user) so I don't know the different ways of flashing to a new ROM, but I happen to find UMNDL very easy and fast, but the way you say it makes it wound just the opposite, so I guess I'm wondering just how much easier is the other way of flashing your getting at in this post?

it's not a huge difference, but basically you hook up the phone, click the .exe and that's about it.

edit: there is still a chance of brick, but less...I think...

true. The current tools may not break it down. I am sure EVENTUALLY someone will get tools that work, but hopefully the existing ones work.

I tore down the Saga rom. I've a feeling I can do the same with this one. Its not easy, but its not the most difficult thing either. Certainly not as easy as cc20 was.

yeah, CC20 was already down to just the .img file. This is going to be a full .exe. Can't you use the extraROM from your kitchen?

Time will tell. Many of the tools are i900 specific, so they didnt work for Saga. That may change with this update.
