Found this last night.
Blacked-out menus and keyboard.

-copied keyboard files and dropped them into windows folder. soft-reset and viola. awesome.

-call log, samsung clock, calculator, and volume control look great.
I am unable to get contacts page or dialer to work-little help?

EDIT: got dialer to work, but has russian text and english. from dialer you can access black phonebook.
EDIT #2: used PHM regedit to replace :mspoutlook contacts with seccontact.exe (HKLM/software/microsoft/shell/rai/:mscontacts/1)

Nice work! Does the dialer replace the existing one on the device or skin it? I am on Adryn's 4.2 ROM and he swapped out some of the dialer icons (his look better in my opinion).

I cannot take credit, nor did i create these. they were posted over @ modaco

I have dropped the dialer files into windows and thus replaced them. Adryns dialer is replaced. you could save his files and replace if needed. i just wanted to try, and will reflash if need be. i like the dialer look, but not keen on the russian characters.

I AM a big fan of the keyboard though. i tried to post a shot of the landscape pic, but it is too large (file too large).

I looked at the files you posted. Is it as simple as just replacing the files I have on my phone, or is there a little more to it? That seems too easy, but I am fine if that is all I need to do.

Yep, that's all i did. looked for matching files (usually in windows) and dragged over using activesync. then clicked yes to replace.

I did soft-reset between the various programs (incase you don't see the change.)

good luck, it was worth a try, i thought. you can always flash back, then pick the changes you want to keep permanent (did i say i liked the keyboard yet? i didn't really like the shiny look before). that's what i will do.

I dragged dialer files over to windows folder. soft-reset.

I also went into advanced config/phone and disabled skin. reset. then re-enabled. not sure if i had to, but that is what it took.

let me know. i will reflash and try again, if you can't get it. i have been up all night though. will be up in afternoon.

What do the files in the Sectres folder do?

You have to copy both the files from the Dial folder and the Secdial folder over to your phone. I just copied the Dial folder items and all it did was change the background of the top portion of the dialer.

they look like backgrounds for main screen and main menu for WM 6.1. wouldn't need if using 6.5.

When I extracted the file, most folders showed empty (only those with exes showed anything), but if I tried to re-extract the file, it showed that I was replacing all the files that appeared missing. What I have had to do is drag the file directly from 7zip to the Phone.

NM stupid (&%$ vista did not copy the other files because they are counted as system files and hidden.

I just started playing around and noticed the keyboard is the old Omnia keyboard. Any mention elsewhere of getting the cc20 (with the pop up keys) skinned in black? I really prefer that one.

I would prefer that too. this keyboard but with pop-up characters.

maybe someone can take these files and integrate with cc20??

unless your fond of xt9 finger keyboard is eaier to us imho.

Conserning the russion, i opened the sec_dialer.dll but only found mention of korean. I distinctly remember a point when people had managed to fogure out how to change everything but the font color od the dialer... any chance anyone knows where to change/remove the russion?

I am one of the few that actually does like XT9. I tried FKB, but I had accuracy issues. The keys themselves seem smaller since the arrow keys are right in the middle of the keyboard.

I think xt9 works great on this keyboard-my first time giving it a shot.
i also think it is faster than the pop-up version.

you can kit txt file that make the keyboard have no keys and then its very accurate

That flat black/silver combo looks great, nice find. The Russian shouldn't be too hard to get rid of (hidden in one of the dll files, I'd assume, I have played around with reshacker before so I could take a look)

That won't work. It has already been tried. They did something different to the dll and won't tell anyone how they did it.

I have made some progress in getting the cc20 keyboard skinned. I am just messing around, but I was able to get the landscape black keyboard to work with the pop up letters by copying some of the images produced earlier in this post and modifying the cc20 xml files. I really have no idea what I am doing, but I have gotten something to work.

It is a long way away from being complete. The pop ups are still in the original keyboard color, and only the landscape qwerty keyboard is skinned so far, not the symbol keyboards, and none of the other keypads/phonepads. I think I am on the right track, but will report back as I progress.

I was PMing with the Russian guy over at modaco and even gave him all the files associated with the dialer for the i910 (.dll and all) and they couldn't do it. There is something different about the i910 .dll compared to the i900

SOMEONE has to know how they got them to blue, and Russian!!!!

Hell, i dont even care about the blue, drop the Russian and that one is GOLD!
(the black contacts has to lose the Russian too!)

Here we go, black keyboard with pop up key.
Only keyboard, no change to phonepad and keypad.

Assuming you have a custom rom based on CC20 or the CC20 rom not the original stock rom

have not tried yet, was going to load cc20 keyboard and try it.
so this cab is not working?
