Advantages of 6.5

I wanted to search for this but i cant use 6.5 as a search term, so not sure how i would...

Anyhow I'm curious, what are the advantages and disadvantages of windows 6.5 verses 6.1?

6.5 is new, faster, stable. More finger friendly. Highly customizable. To be honest, 6.1 is great but the UI in 6.5 just makes the device alo easier and nicer to use. Finger friendlyness is my biggest plus. Titanium is a really cool look and feel to today as well.

Re: Advantages of 6.5

i was under the impression 6.5 required him to leave a large amount of stuff on the 6.5...

So i guess the question i have to ponder....

or

Re: Advantages of 6.5

Morkai, I had the same concerns when I was on 6.1 but trust me, you'll never look back after flashing to a 6.5. I loved M2d in 6.1 and also MS3, but don't even think about them with titanium. And there's plenty of space on the 6.5's. Heck, if you don't like it, flash back to 6.1!!

Re: Advantages of 6.5

Off the top of my head, here is what I can think of:
1. Enhanced "default lock screen" with slide function (like s2u2, but built into the OS)
2. Enhanced kinetic scrolling across (almost) all apps (with bounce back like the iphone!)
3. New "Finger Friendly" menus
4. "Honeycomb" start / launch menu, much better then the 6.1 start menu
5. CHome / titanium , new "Windows Default" UI. VERY customizable.
6. New "pocket IE 6". Supposed to compete with Opera/Safari, has zoom capability; can render complex full web pages, etc. (Kind of a letdown though, Opera is much much better still)

That's all I can think of. I agree it is much better then 6.1. And the cooked ROMs have so many options, it's fun to try them all.

Re: Advantages of 6.5

I honestly don't think i could stomach going back to 6.1. 6.5 is just so much more finger friendly, I'm over using a stylus, I've had to use one for like 9 years (was a palm enthusiast). You won't go back to 6.1 once you've used 6.5 for a while.
