Unhappy Phone keeps connecting to broadband

My phone keeps connecting to broadband, constantly, like every 30 seconds to a minute. Is there a way to find out what program is causing this? It's draining my battery like crazy! I am using one of Adrynalyn's 6.1 ROMs but this didn't seem to start until I tethered my phone to a Windows XP machine. Now I can't get it to quit connecting. I don't know what it's doing, but it will connect, disconnect, and do it all over again. I just want to know what is causing it so I can remove whatever it is. I haven't added any new software, it just started yesterday after a tether.

Any advice?

Re: Phone keeps connecting to broadband

I know the answer is probably no, but do you have any sort of push or pull email set up?

Nope. I checked that. I also checked to make sure that Weather Panel wasn't updating. I can't tell what it is. It only started yesterday after connecting to an XP PC.

It doesn't do it if it is connected to the PC at all. It just sits there and behaves. But, once I disconnect it, it tries connecting to broadband every few seconds. It's driving me crazy! I can't even keep a full battery charge for the entire day!

Re: Phone keeps connecting to broadband

FYI - I think this was all being caused by the WeatherPanel death a couple of days ago. I have removed it and it all stopped. And, if you are interested, the ppc geek community has come through again and found a solution to the WP death. Follow the drama here...

Re: Phone keeps connecting to broadband

I've never had a problem with battery life, but since yesterday my phone is also acting up (just like volsmcfalls). In addition to the data connection, my phone doesn't go to sleep like it should. Checked all the settings, everything seems fine. I guess I'm no help to you, but misery loves company!
