when device is woken up, lock device (broken)

Trying to disable the "lock on power on" feature. After I turn on the screen on the Omnia, the lock feature (for prevention of accidental touch screen presses, not the password lock feature) requires you to press, Unlock (in bottom left) and then Unlock (in the middle right, to unlock the screen.

The supposed way to turn this feature off is:
Start>Settings>Buttons>Wake up>Uncheck 'When device is woken up, lock device'

however, unchecking the box seems to have no effect on the lock feature. In fact, the Omnia was already unchecked by default. I had it checked and then uncheck but still to no avail.

Can someone please check if this is working on their Omnia?
Does anyone else have this problem?
