Re: ROM upgrade question
Not that it can do you any good at this point, but you didn't really need to delete everything from your Omnia before-hand. Flashing will basically do that for you. It really is easy and fast. The first one you do should be to the cc20 as that unlocks the GPS, and that one may take as much as ten minutes, and that should include downloading (depending on speed of your system of course) unpacking, and flashing. Setting up is another thing, but that is half the fun of it. LOL
One thing I would suggest though is to look in the upgrade section and see what is offered in the way of new ROMs. There are a good assortment of both 6.1 and 6.5 (I personally use Adrynalyne's 6.5, but there are a few good chef's working in there). As long as you have nothing loaded on your Omnia now and your flashing anyway, download a ROM you like and flash to that after the cc20. You free up a LOT more memory, get a cool new OS (if you use a 6.5 ROM) and have a snappier, faster device in the end. Flashing to the other ROMs after the cc20 is even faster and it really gets easier the more you do it. |

Re: ROM upgrade question
and to go along with syrguy's post...
i use my mobiler.. its a handy tool to "use" your phone without touching it... all the phone functions are controlled with the mouse and keyboard(great for texting ppl back super fast lol)..it has to be connected to pc via the USB cable, if you were wondering how it worked After i flash i use it to install any .cab's (extra goodies) due to the fact u can drag and drob .cab's and it will auto install... sometimes its not the best, due to it saving the files to the phone vs. my memory card... but its easy to move files using activesync... my mobiler here: http://www.mtux.com/ |

Re: ROM upgrade question
Ok, I followed the instructions and it looks like I was successful!!!!!! I downloaded a Rom from here. Do I follow the same steps? I noticed it was a BIN, not IMG.
