I too rock Spb with WM6.5... I know exactly what ur refering too as well. I put on Adrynalyne's 3.81 (i think) and i love the feature's of 6.5. But I don't like titanium at all - Yes its pretty and functional and customizable but I like the high tech look of spb (almost linux like with compiz).

I had the cab in my storage so I just installed it- i was good to go

Ditto. NOT very pretty IMO, NOT high tech, 1 finger swipe per app?? 1 line or 1 page per app?? Like flipping through a different page in a book for anything you want to find. It takes too long to find what I am looking for. Way too linear/serial.

I don't want to pay for it, but SPB3 seems to be the base for the themes and looks I like the most. But still looking for the ideal combination of looks and functionality.

I have been using the m2d 6.5 rom and to be honest I havent looked back to MS once. Mobile shell was nice cause it was finger friendly and quick to navigate but so is the m2d rom. I think better in both aspects than ms. Ocassionally I swith over to titanium just to play with it and what not and I find it has alot of the same user friendly qualities as MS.
