Weird Calibration Problem

Here is a weird problem.

My screen is dead on calibrated everywhere except near the "a" key. Every time I push "a" I get "s". I have tried different keyboards and recalibrating it. It's a really weird problem. It makes typing a real pain in the butt.

I have the same problem in landscape mode in the same area of the screen.

Ideas?

Oh, WM 6.5 Adryn's ROM (but I don't think that is the problem)

Re: Weird Calibration Problem

I am having the same problem on my Omnia...I thought maybe I just dropped it too many times... It would be great if there was some way to fix this.

Re: Weird Calibration Problem

I had a calibration problem and after doing a hard rest it would not get past the calibration screen. When I called Veriz. they sent me a new one under warranty.

Re: Weird Calibration Problem

Mine used to get p***** the calibration screen but now it doesn't. I started notes and loaded a drawing. Then I started to draw all over the screen. Everything worked ok except the left side of the screen. There was a semi circle all across the left side of the screen that I couldn't draw on. The touch screen didn't work in that area at all!

Gonna go to a verizon store whenever I can. I live 2 hrs from the closest one but I don't want to exchange it for a refurbished one.

Re: Weird Calibration Problem

I just tried mine in Notes and it did the exact same thing on the left side of the screen. I don't have the insurance in my plan, but the Omnia is less than a year old...not sure if it would still be under warranty or not.

Re: Weird Calibration Problem

I have found that if I am using the stylus and press harder on the area of the screen that is not responsive it will actually write in that area in Notes. It takes more pressure and moving back and forth but it does eventually respond. I have done a hard reset after noticing this problem and it still acts the same. I guess a visit to the Verizon store is in order and hopefully I can get a replacement under warranty...

Re: Weird Calibration Problem

You can't draw all the way to the left edge, its due to how they make the screens. Sucks, but its there.

This is a new Omnia, and I cant get any closer.
