Trouble with ActiveStink Always Running? Look Here

This is a walkthrough that has helped me immensely with activesync always running.

Try this.

Even if you don't use exchange, we are going to setup a dummy exchange account.

Open Activesync. Go to Menu, Add Source.

Email address: Whatever.

Uncheck the checkbox to detect exchange settings and hit next.

Server address: Whatever.

Hit next. Put in a fake username, password, and domain. Hit next.

Uncheck EVERYTHING. Hit finish.

Go back to Menu.

Go to schedule. Sync during: manually. Off peak times: manually.

Uncheck both boxes. Hit OK.

Go to menu, options.

Delete the fake exchange server.

Close it via task manager or whatever program closing app you use. It will run on next boot, but closing it should keep it closed.

This has worked for me. Your mileage may vary.
