I really need help... I have a samsung omnia (verizon) and I'm trying to get the WalkingHotSpot software to work. Can anyone tell me how I put the ICSinstall.cab file on my phone. What do I click on once it's up on my laptop and where do I save it on my phone?

Thanks for the help

Hey I know ur new to the forum but starting a thread and calling it ur screen name won't get many people to read it...

anyway...check out this link...and follow the instructions on the first post of the thread

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=57352

also you will need Activesync/WMDC to transfer the cab file to ur phone from ur Laptop...u can save the cab file anywhere u want but I recommend ur "my storage card"

Ok, I have to laugh because I have never done the forum thing before and you are correct.... No one is going to understand since I've used purrwaggles as title lol (didn't even think about that) Thank you for replying. I think I've got it installed. Have a great night

Re: purrwaggles

You don't need activesync or WMDC with the Omnia, you can set the USB connection to "USB Mass Storage" in the settings of the phone, and basically use it as a memory card. You need to disconnect from the PC before you can access "My Storage" again though.
