I'm confused on GPS / custom ROMs

Apparently I am confused...do the custom ROMS (like Adrynalyne's) include the GPS unlock, or is that a seperate step / install?

I would like WM 6.5 with the GPS unlock but I apparently cannot figure out how to do this. Forgive my ignorance...

Re: I'm confused on GPS / custom ROMs

OK cool, You are Verizon 1910.
You must find and download the UMDL_Omnia and i910WM6.1REV10.CC20.VZW.img or whichever *.img you want.
follow the instructions to flash your ROM by idoctor. As well as the pdf provided in same thread.
This is your ROM flash (and remember to hold the power button down long until you get the verizon logo and chime when it says to turn your phone off. also while flashing when it says to turn the phone back on, you need to hold it again and you will see a large battery symbol)
Then if you want to flash the phone function itself, that is Adynalynes download. Follow the instructions on his post. This will be a PDA flash.
So in summary, flash the ROM then flash the PDA, according to the instructions given in both threads.
Take the time to read EVERY message in each thread.
use a backup software
hard reset only the device (you have a choice of each or both, it is the top button that resets only the device)

Re: I'm confused on GPS / custom ROMs

GPS unlock comes from CC20 beta rom.

Mine won't touch that feature.
