Problems with wifi after using wmwifirouter

I have the standard verizon rom. I installed the ICS and WMWifirouter 0.91 initially. After using it, I had difficulties connecting to my home network. I uninstalled ICS and WMwifirouter.

Still, I cannot browse the internet on my home wifi. I reinstalled ICS and WMwifirouter 1.25. It connects, but it isn't getting internet sites. This is true for every wifi network that I have tried it on.

Anyone else having these problems? Any solutions?

Re: Problems with wifi after using wmwifirouter

I couldn't get it off my phone. After using WMWifiRouterCleaner.exe I had to hard reset. I haven't used it since. Here is the discussion at XDA.

Re: Problems with wifi after using wmwifirouter

I think that I have fixed my problem. On the page where you can configure your wireless networks, there is a tab for network adapters. When I clicked on the SyChip Jaguar WLAN GSPI card, it was set for using a specific IP address. Once I changed it to server-assigned, my wifi started working again.

Maybe this is the root of someone else's problem. Thanks for helping.

I have the exact same problem and my wlan card is set to use dhcp so that is not my issue. Anyone found a fix for this yet ?

Thanks

Thanks but my issue is this: If I want to connect to a wireless network and have my omnia set to use DHCP.. it will in fact connect to the network but routing is not taking place and i cant get to the internet. However if I plug in static entries on my omnia and reconnect then all is well..

This is when I am not even using wmwifirouter.

I'm a little confused. WMWifiRouter will allow a PC with a wireless adapter to access the internet via your phone's Internet Connection Sharing. Is this what you're trying to accomplish? Or are you trying to access the internet (view sites on your phone) via an existing wifi network?

Edit: WMWifiRouter enables several devices or computers (with wireless adapters) to communicate with each other. It creates a network.

I have installed and successfully used the wmwifirouter and connected my laptop to it and surfed the internet. My issue is after installing and using wmwifiroter when I try to say for example connect to a hotspot that has a wide open wireless connection, my omnia will connect and get an ip address but will not browse the internet... now another example, my home wireless does the same thing unless I specifiy static ip settings on the omnia then it works fine. its weird.
