Automatic Brightness Fix

Ok... Somewhere I saw a fix that would lower the low value for the automatic brightness. The fix would make your screen darker when in a dark setting (like night). I didn't think this is a big deal but now I'm on the night shift and this thing is SUPER Bright!!! Anybody see this? I can't find it.
