Are There Any Programs That Use GPS Other Than Nav Apps?
Since this unlocked gps rom was released, I have been trying to use GPS on my Omnia as much as I can. I was wondering if anyone had any apps that use gps other than the navigation software, or apps like Gmaps/Live Search etc.?
So far I've used GSPed and it's neat but clumsy. Any other ideas? Thanks. |

There are star type programs that use GPS to determine your location and then display the stars in your area - the one I use is Pocket Star. There are also some hiking applications.

I think Adrylanyne is adding geotagging to his ROM. It tags photos taken with the camera with your location.
I may be wrong. It's happening a lot lately.  Ted

Try Gwatch it tracks laps and ports out to excel. Best of all it is free. Just remember to donate to them for the time & effort spent on the programs.

Tried? No. I looked at it, read the description and was impressed and then looked closer at the method of importing maps and decided the effort was not worth it. I use BasicGPS (registered) as a companion to my DeLorme PN-40.
