Are There Any Programs That Use GPS Other Than Nav Apps?
 

Since this unlocked gps rom was released, I have been trying to use GPS on my Omnia as much as I can. I was wondering if anyone had any apps that use gps other than the navigation software, or apps like Gmaps/Live Search etc.?

So far I've used GSPed and it's neat but clumsy. Any other ideas?

There are star type programs that use GPS to determine your location and then display the stars in your area - the one I use is Pocket Star. There are also some hiking applications.

I think Adrylanyne is adding geotagging to his ROM. It tags photos taken with the camera with your location.

I may be wrong. It's happening a lot lately. :(

lol. i am hoping that Adrylanyne finds a way to incorporate this too. Right now I think he's stuck in Libya with the gps coordinates.

Heh. "is adding" sted of "added" is a clue. Besides, Libya is a bad place to be. It's kinda dry over there.

Try Gwatch it tracks laps and ports out to excel. Best of all it is free. Just remember to donate to them for the time & effort spent on the programs.

That looks very interesting!! Thank you. I am looking for a app that will let me know how far I am walking. I am trying to get back in shape and I need to know how many miles a week I am walking.
