As for your GPS issue have you set the GPS settings in google maps to Com 8, Baud 57600? I did that and I get locks, it takes a while, but I get them. I'm gonna try the Verizon aGPS fix from over at the Vogue forum, see if that works for the omnia in speeding up GPS locks, it did wonders for my xv6900!
yea I have a the GPS settings but it just says 'initializing GPS' and nothing...

as far as pocket plus I found that disabling the "taskbar battery indicator" fixed all the problems...
