Go outside into an open area with clear view of the sky. Soft reset the phone. Start Gmaps, set options to "Managed by Windows". Make sure "Use GPS" has a check mark next to it. Set the phone down on a table, etc. (so it stays stationary).
You should have a lock within 5-10 minutes. The first lock can take a while.  Ted

You're absolutely right! It took about 15-20 minutes. It's now working. Leaf gps-dashboard shows I'm locked on 7 out of 9 satellites and googlemaps is working great!
Anyone still having problems - it just takes patience. Turn on googlemaps and let the phone sit outside for a while. |
