Desktop Battery Charger

Hiya all...

Anyone have any experience with a dual desktop charger (battery and omnia)? With the charging issue of non-samsung batteries not charging in the phone, shouldn't I consider the same be true with a desktop charger i.e., if the desktop charger isn't made by Samsung will it, in fact, charge the spare?
