Tried to make a call, but my phone just farted...


I have the worst luck with backups. I have a 750mb backup file, that appears to be fine, passes instegrity checks and all, and then the stupid restore app crashes during restoring it.

Yikes! Do you store all your extras on a removable storage card and just install basics onto My Device and My Storage? If you so you may want to consider creating a separate Backup which only takes care of My Device and My Storage so your reinstall isn't quite as large a file.

It does totally blow that you have to redo everything

I'm sorry to hear the devastating news Adrynalyne. I'm sure you will have your baby back up and running in no time though, and probably running better than it was prior to the crash. Keep us posted.

I hard reset a second time and nuked My Storage as well.

I hate doing that, but alas, my backup then worked.

Its part of the backup. Luckily I had enough foresight to backup my latest mods and hacks. It just annoys me to no end to have to reprogram my phone.

Don't have a phone backup program? GET ONE! Even if you don't mess with registry edits or custom ROMs, even a simple installation can really mess up your phone. Trust me!
