A Warning Regarding the Escalating Ringtone Fix

This is a cross post between here and Hofo, but I think its worth noting.

I changed the value back to 2 and it rings as it should. Is there a way to fix it so it will ring when sys vol is off but phone vol max AND have NO increasing ring volume?

I missed a lot of calls before i finally figured out this is what was causing it.

You are right, its an issue, but the thing to keep in mind is that Ring isn't supposed to be in the 1 category, its supposed to be 2. Even when you change your ring profile, it does not modify these attentuation settings. While it does fix the escalating ring, its a bandaid, its not an actual fix.

An actual fix is going to need to come down the pipe in the form of a rom update.
