Re: PocketShield Release Candidate 2.6

I really like the idea for this program and think I would prefer it to s2u2, but it seems to be really unstable on my phone. I don't know if everyone's is like this, but mine is. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not, I just figure that the dev would want to know about these things.

First, i had a really hard time running it after installing the .net framework. The program kept on crashing every time I tried to run it . Then after I got it to start for the first time and allow me to choose a language, it crashed when I was trying to set options.

Finally when I got everything set and set the lock I quickly discovered an issue. On my omnia there's a gesture I can use to bring up the task switcher. All that one needs to do is drag their finger up the screen from the bottom to about 1/4 of the way up the screen and the task switcher pops up (even when the device is locked) With the task switcher up, an accidental press in the wrong spot will close all programs (including the lock). This causes another crash which prevented me from using my touch screen until I soft reset the phone.

Again, I really like the idea -- the app looks amazing and feels great when it works the way it's supposed to. I hope to see a release in the future that works better on my phone.

Re: PocketShield Release Candidate 2.6

A knee jerk reaction would tell me that you have more issues than this app--but post on the beta forum for support, rather than here. No devs visit here, that I am aware.

As for the taskswitcher issue, I am unsure how you are invoking it, unless on purpose, but it is a resistive touch screen so...you are right, it crashes PS when running it. Maybe worth reporting as a bug.

I can post a cab that will completely disable taskswitcher. Its quick and easy. Let me know. Its been an ongoing issue for some with S2U2 as well.

These guys are excellent with support, you can even report from your phone by tapping the A, then + and report the issue.

TIA

Make sure you installed it to the same place as PS, like My Device, etc. I tested this before linking you to it. Its pretty much flawless, installation wise.

It takes me, a graphics noob about 20 minutes or so to port a theme. Usually just requires resizing. If you have a request, let me know.

Haha. I actually thought you were one of the devs over there :P I'll go ahead and send an e-mail to the devs.

As for the cab file -- I don't think I'll need that just yet. I actually really like having access to it while I have some other things up ie opera and word and it makes things a bit easier. Thanks though dearie.

Been awhile since I even thought about BattleTech. That looks good.
