How long can I leave the Omnia connected to the net?

I'm purchasing an Omnia this week. My work loc has blocked all IM clients (from work computers, as well as half the blasted internet for websites), and am curious if I could use the omnia to keep something like AIM running for a few hours or longer even or is that a bad idea?

You should be able to just fine. I personally use nimbuzz to keep track of my skype, yahoo, and google talk lists and IM all day on my Touch Pro. Im sure theres something similar for Omnia since its WinMo. Look into nimbuzz.com
