Unhappy Activesync problems w/ contacts/calendar

This is the stangest problem. I have had a pda for quite a few years and have never had a problem like this one. I have used ActiveSync with it. It was an HP iPaq. I am familiar with the partnerships, etc.
--
I have sync with two separate pcs. One from work and one at home. Both run XP Pro and both have activesync 4.50 that came with the Omnia.
1. Several times, when connecting, I have gotten an error. "ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop. Support Code 86000107". I googled that and found that most of the time, the partnership needed to be deleted. Since I have only one partnership, I deleted the device and then upon reconnecting, it set up a new partnership just fine. But . . . this keeps happening. Why would this happen so often (about every 3 days)??
2. On my home pc, I have troubles with 2 birthdates that won't sync. I have tried deleting them from the pc and they still keep giving me the error, even when they are not on the device at all. The support code on that one is '1'. What would cause this??

Thanks,

Re: Activesync problems w/ contacts/calendar

This may be a by-product of having a PDA and Activesync so long...I had a similar problem but I use vista, and I didn't mention my sync errors because I cleared those up (i think) but the contacts/birthdays I was getting a sync error with happened to be a contact that I have had since my first PPC...

heres the thread I started...

Re: Activesync problems w/ contacts/calendar

Thank you for your reply. I still haven't been able to find a solution to this.
I spent several hours last night trying to find something. I spent a bit of time
trying different things to see if I could get rid of the error, particularly the one about "support code 1". But, that one I can live with, I suppose.

I got to work today, and had the "Support code 86000107" error again. Did some digging around in Microsoft and other forums to see if I could find anything. No luck yet.

Here are some links to several pages that discuss the last topic. Having to delete the partnership and resync again and again is getting to be a drag.

Maybe this will help someone down the road. It seems that it is a problem with Windows Mobile 6.1 and there don't appear to be any fixes for it.
