Verizon customers... Let Verizon know how you feel about them disabling the GPS! They now have customer forums. http://forums.verizon.com/vrzn/

neat little forum, but it seems to reflect what we already know/have been told....that an unlock + update are being worked on for release. I was a little disappointed there isn't much actual VZW interaction that I can see in the threads I flipped through. Good read though, thanks for posting it!!

i believe we still, on 6/31/09 need to bombard their servers with the GPS issue.
they said first half of 2009. i am suggesting the end of june so that they have nooo excuse!
fix it or we should be able to get out of our contracts!

If you bomb their servers on 6/31/09 will that be from the fourth dimension where they use a different calendar than the one we use?

There is no June 31st.

The GPS and getting out of contract issue probably won't hold too much water, they never promised us full GPS, all they advertised was VZNav. Granted they didn't exactly broadcast that they had disabled the GPS to all other apps, but when you get into the wording of things, they pretty much covered bases. Marketing is a tricky game....much like law and politics!!
