crash when clicking message icon using samsung today 2 and today

Hi all,

Using either Samsung Today or Samsung Today 2 my phone crashes in shell32 every time I click the message icon.

The phone vibrates for about 30 seconds then dies.

Any solution to this or is my poor phone defective?

I suppose one solution is to use SPB Mobile Shell or another shell UI, but let's not head there just yet

Only items other than stock are:
-.Net Compact Framework 3.5
-PHM Registry Editor
-TinyTwitter

This occurs on fresh boot with none of this stuff running (except .Net 3.5).

Just got the phone and haven't loaded up much (as you can see).

What is in your Windows\startup folder?

Where did you install .net to, phone or storage?

It should be noted that I had to hard reset my phone when I first got it, because it wasn't stable, out of the box.

Or maybe I broke something. I don't recall. I tweak a lot.

Re: crash when clicking message icon using samsung today 2 and today

Perhaps I should hard reset and start over since I haven't really done much to it yet... Not that hard to re-add my exchange server and gmail account to outlook.

I installed .net to the phone as instructed here. TinyTwitter is on the storage. Intend to install everything to storage unless it has to be on the phone.

I recall reading that a hard reset should be done on purchase... Probably should have done that so will do that today.
