Re: Can the Omnias even use Latitude?
From what I have heard it can. But it may be wrong. I have downloaded it to my phone but won't allow me to sign in. I type and nothing shows in the Screen name or Password section. If anyone else has used it let us know.

Re: Can the Omnias even use Latitude?
I had the same problem when I installed it. It's because you are using the Samsung Keyboard. You have to change it to another one and it will work fine. It's a bug that they need to get worked out.

Re: Can the Omnias even use Latitude?
Did it and it worked. Thanks. Now I'm finding out that I can see my friends but they can't see me. So I'm thinking that the Omnia doesn't have GPS. I did a serach in the phone and it says that you need to choose a port from the settings and go in "external GPS" and that isn't there.

But, I thought Latitude was supposed to be able to get your location from cell phone towers OR GPS. But, it's looking like more and more that it relies on GPS only... |

Re: Can the Omnias even use Latitude?
I have Latitude up and working on my Omnia. It uses public WiFi locations to find yur position. When I am in a metropolitan area it works OK (within a couple of hundred meters)l But I live in the country so it cannot find a location.
