Pocket Tunes WQVGA Skin

I was looking for a nice media player that would work with last.fm and display album art that was embedded in tags and the only thing i could come up with was Pocket Tunes. I didnt like that it didnt fill the screen and i couldnt get it to play nice it WVGAFix. Anyway i was feeling ambitious and whipped up a WQVGA Skin. This is the first skin ive made in a while so im a little rusty so please leave some suggestions. Enjoy!

Known Issues
  • Track Time in landscape mode is under album art (Fixed)
  • Text color is too similar to the background color. (Fixed)
  • Navigation Controls using the d-pad dont highlight correctly (Fixed)
  • Down button for playlist scrolling doesn't work (Fixed)

Thanks for this!

How do you get Windows Media Player to show embedded art?

I thought it only shows album art if the JPEG was in the same folder as the album, and each album had to be in a separate folder. It's the biggest gripe I have against using WMP.

Yea thats what i thought too. I tried the free version of Kinoma and i like the interface and the ability to show art embedded in tags but when i tried to exit it locked up the phone and i had to soft reset.

Just play it.

*shrug*

I embedded with Media Monkey. Stuff I bought off of Amazon is already embedded, and it works too.

I bet that's the answer. All my MP3's had artwork originally added through iTunes and I bet there's an incompatibility between how iTunes and Media Player stores the image in the ID3 tags. Oh well, maybe someday I'll fix it.

Thanks.
