Google Maps problems with Omnia?

I had Google Maps on my Omnia and it worked fine. But, when I upgraded to the new version (with Latitude) the Samsung Keyboard quit working in Google Maps.

I searched the web and found that it is only an issue with the Samsung Keyboard. All others work fine. But, it is a bit annoying to have to switch every time I use the program.

Any workarounds to this? Google seems very reluctant to address it or update GM. The "official answer" they give is to just use a different keyboard.

Here's an idea...how about you actually take a look at the problem instead of offering us a band-aid?

Re: Google Maps problems with Omnia?

i also had issues with the keyboard, and i think its been discussed before, and honestly what i had to do was use another keyboard... which was ok for me because i wasnt a huge fan of the samsung keyboard to begin with (using resco right now... its good for one handed typing, not too good in landscape though). sorry i know this isnt what you wanted to hear, but i think thats all we can do at this point.
