Re: PointUI 2 Beta Available!

The size is right. Not sure why it doesn't show up for you though. You aren't missing anything, by the way.

Re: PointUI 2 Beta Available!

It kinda sucks. Especially since you can only get weather data for a few large citys.

Re: PointUI 2 Beta Available!

So far I'm really liking it, but it could use a few little fixes before I consider using it over tf3d...especially on the weather app. But overall, it's very responsive, flashy...performance is really quite good, just play with it, can't hurt.

I wouldn't say it sucks, it just lacks customizations and applets at the moment. Definitely bare compared to TF3D. I do wish TF3D was this snappy though.

Re: PointUI 2 Beta Available!

What were guys expecting here? It's a UI, and a decently simple one at that.
Once we get a little customizing going on it'll be more than a match for TF3D.
Smooth, clean animations and snappy responses coupled with a TRUE landscape mode (not that crap static screen TF3d uses).

I like it. I'll be running it for a while. I'll be interested to see what applets we can get.

Re: PointUI 2 Beta Available!

What was I expecting?

Gee, I dunno, a UI that actually spanned the entire screen?

At any rate, the Devs have resolved the issue, thanks to us bringing it to their attention.

Re: PointUI 2 Beta Available!

yea this thing really does suck...but it does have potential. ove a;ready played with it a bit and will post up my mods to it in a few days. ive redone the weather thing (i found the stock one to be kinda pointless since the 1st PointUI had a better selection), added a tf3d-like clock...and some other things.

until then...

Re: PointUI 2 Beta Available!

LOL!
Yeah can't help you there.

Running like gang busters on 640x480...

Also there is a way to add cities to the weather app:
