VW Omnia and the WIFI

Hello all!

New here and am considering picking up one of these but I need to know if the WiFi function on this phone is open to any hot spot. If not what do I need to do for it to be opened? Any and all help would be apreciated. I'm going to plunk down some $$ this week so I want to know if this is worth it.

Thanks

Re: VW Omnia and the WIFI

mine works flawless with my home router. a verizon router.
but if i read right, those who do have problems is because they installed that useless app VZapp zone.
so DONT do that an you should be fine

Thumbs up Re: VW Omnia and the WIFI

I just got my Omnia on Friday, but so far I've had no trouble connecting to any Wireless Access points other than my work one which requires a certificate based authentication. Still playing with that.

But anything that uses no security (like most public hotspots) should work fine.

Re: VW Omnia and the WIFI

I have had some issues with Wi-Fi. Had to change router settings and some hot spots won't connect. My I phone connects much better. I am not really sold on the Wi-Fi for Omnia. Love Phone though.
