Question Changing Permissions

I'm new to smart phones and there is a learning curve I got to get through. I saw this tutorial on how to change the start up Verizon animation with a custom one, but I can't figure out how to change the folder permissions on the phone. I need to copy a new file to the windows directory. I get an error that says "you don't have permission to create this item". Please help- anybody! Thanks.

Re: Changing Permissions

You have to use a third party file manager, like Resco Explorer. There is no need to change any permissions.

Re: Changing Permissions

I have the Omnia i910 from Verizon. Did they completely lock down the phone so you can't do **** to it? When I try and load Resco Explorer I get an error message Resco Registry Add-in does not support the connected device type. Help please!

Re: Changing Permissions

I figured it out. I choose the wrong download. They have a version for smart phone and touch screen devices. Resco Explorer loaded correctly. Thanks.
