Re: Aim For My Omnia

Well...that depends...do you want the official AIM app, or an IM app that supports AIM as well as others? There are a few out there, and I would be more than happy to direct you to what you would like to use!!

For example...I use AIM and Yahoo, so found an app that supports those and a few others called Slick by Lonely Cat Games. It is very nice on the eyes, and is still in beta, so it is free:

Re: Aim For My Omnia

OK...you lucked out in that Storyr has tweaked a skin to work on the Omnia...here is a link to the updated WeatherPanel + skin for the Omnia:

No place better to go for Live Search than the source:

http://livesearchmobile.com/

If your looking for a AIM-only app, you can try this one I am attaching. There are a few out there.

If this all helps you great, if you need more info/help just let me know!!

Re: Aim For My Omnia

A little tough love there huh?

OK...you save the files to your PC, unzip the zipped ones...basically you want the file names to end with '.CAB' CAB files are PPC install files (like EXE on a PC). Drag the CAB files you your memory card. On the Omnia open your File Explorer and navigate to where you saved the CAB files. All you need to do now is click on the file you want to install and the PPC takes it from there...it will ask where you want to install them (My Memory works for all of the ones I listed above) and installs them where you select.

You should be all set then. Sound do-able?

why not use Mobile IM that comes with the phone? no good? I use it all the time without a hitch...

I have a cab for AIM that I was using on my titan...I will see if it plays nice with the Omnia and let you know...

EDIT: I tested it in portrait and landscape it works fine...there's a slight delay when rotating and on some of the functions but its not a problem for me...make sure you install on your My storage to save internal memory...

the cab is free so here is the link
