Re: PocketCM Questions
PocketCM does become take over the WM contact manager upon install, but I'm not sure about Samsungs. Ther eis also a setting in PocketCM to make it the defailt SMS app. I am not sure about the Today2 icons, but I have it mapped to work with SPB Shell's speed-dial page and text button, so I would think a simple reg tweak can do what your looking for. Another think I do is to have the PocketCM icon pinned to my MRU page.

Re: PocketCM Questions
I did this instead. I mapped my call log button to one instance of icontact, running from a zip file
Then I ran my contacts button to the cab install of icontact. Both have mutually exclusive settings and between the both, weigh in under 1mb of space This will work for now. |

Re: PocketCM Questions
Your gonna have to draw me a road map to figure out what you did there LOL!!! Glad it is working, that is one of the things I like about WM, you can do just about whatever you like....sometimes in more than one way!!

Re: PocketCM Questions
Road map, haha
Ok. So I had iContact installed. I set it by default to launch on the contacts screen. However, on Samsung Today 2, there is a call log button, and I wanted to remap that to iContact too, but for it to show my call history. There is no obvious way to do that, so I downloaded iContact again, this time as a zip file, so I could run it from a different directory and not conflict with the already installed version, and its registry entries. This copy I set the options so that it defaulted to the call history, and then remapped it to the call log button. Two copies, both on My storage, taking up about 300k each. The way i have them setup, they both exit upon minizing, or executing a contact, etc, so there is no danger of conflicts and crashing between thw two. in other words, there is no way to use the two copies at once. Not unless you tried hard, LOL. |

Re: PocketCM Questions
OK...your officially the go-to guy for figuring out shortcuts!!! This sounds like a McGyver deal, but it makes sense....I like the way you think!!

Re: PocketCM Questions
Thanks. Its the ex-Microsoft support tech in me rearing its ugly head. You would be amazed how many shortcuts and jury rigging you can do (sometimes have to do) in Windows Last edited by Adrynalyne; 01-29-2009 at 05:35 PM. |

Re: PocketCM Questions
As I have mentioned...that is actually one of the things I like about it....something about having control over what goes where or does what is what makes my device mine!!!
(ex-microsoft support? I'll have to keep that in mind!) |
