Notes Program Voice Recorder

I have an Omnia i910. I discovered in the Notes program that is has a voice recorder. My wish is to be able to use this to record notes and reminders as I am driving. I assigned Notes to a hard button. My questions are as follows:

1. In the Notes program, is there a way to make the voice recording option pop up in the Notes program by default vs. having to check to activate in the menu each time?

2. How can I activate the record button hands free,by a hard button, or make the icon larger? That little record button is tiny down in the left corner at not exactly convenient or safe to locate while driving.

Thanks for the comments!

Re: Notes Program Voice Recorder

Not really sure about triggering audio as a default. You can map notes to a button, but I can't see a setting to make audio the default (only writing or typing).

You could try a 3rd party app. Vito notes has a good reputation, and costs anout $15:

There is another freeware app that seems pretty cool...you may want to check it out:

Re: Notes Program Voice Recorder

Vito notes works great, you can map it to a button like you wanted, record calls (I haven't tested that part yet), and even send the recordings using SMS or email. I am playing around with it as well. There is a 14 day trial and then I think it is $15 to purchase.

But a free alternative is always a good thing to look into as well LOL!!!

Re: Notes Program Voice Recorder

That free audio recording program doesn't work on my i910. It installs but there are no applications on any menu and I can't find a exe anywhere.

Re: Notes Program Voice Recorder

That is unusual...I have run into an app like that in the past that does that. I will keep an eye out for another though!!
