What is the BEST Sound Settings on the Verizon i910...?!
Okay, I'm stumped... and have now managed to do my very best imitation of that nerdy Verizon guy, you know... "Can you hear me - now...?!"
Hello....!?! Like the countless many - I've read with GREAT interest the many suggestions and directions as to the BEST settings for not only incoming (receive) - but also outgoing (transmit) audio... in my handy Verizon i910. I've even altered the settings, as directed in a few of the postings offered on this site, as well as those provided on 1800Pocketpc.com, and other venues... using the SoundTester.exe file - found in the Windows directory (no need to type in any code while in Phone mode... the program is actually resident and easily accessible). Updating the hands-free speaker did - in fact - make the device conveniently louder to my aging ears, BUT - I noted that when in that (hands-free/speakerphone) mode... the party on the other end could hardly hear me. They said the my voice would like I was speaking through a drainage culvert - complete with hollow echo... echo... echo. But, when I took the phone OFF of the hands-free "speaker on" mode and back to the regular "speaker off" mode... the party on the other end said the sound improved dramatically... only I could hardly hear them. What I'm asking here is - with all the variable settings at our disposal... which ones are the BEST and loudest (but still clearly audible) for use on Verizon Wireless i910 Omnia devices?? The out-of-the-box settings just aren't enough - as is evident to the many folks who have visited similar blog posts. I'm hoping to find the optimum settings specific to our unique phones (...that is, IF there IS a special setting that would benefit our phones.) Any takers...?? I just KNOW I'm not alone, here. Thanks!
