Re: Best Omnia Screen Protector?

By the way, for those who do want the Zagg invisible shield product, there is a 50% coupon code and free standard USPS shipping. The coupon code is SHOWSP09. I bought the full body shield for my Omnia for $12.48 including shipping after the code. The coupon expires January 19, 2009.

My wife has one on her BB Curve and swears by it, so I'll give it a shot and see how it does on the Omnia.

Before I put it on, I used it as a template for the other dozen covers in the pachage, so I've got enough for years of use. They work great and were really easy to apply. Heck, the package even came with a microfiber cleaning cloth to get the screen all cleaned up before installation
My first post, but have been lurking for a while. Bought my VZW i910 on 5 Dec and have found all the answers to my questions by searching/reading/hanging around this forum. Huge thank you to everybody here!!! I really appreciate it.

Thanks for your post angus. I don't know why I didn't think of this before spending too much money on cases. I bought a generic iphone leather pouch to tide me over until my cheap leather flip case with stylus holder came from china (ebay). I hated both cases after a month of trying them out because they turned this nice, slim, easy to carry phone into a bulky mess. After reading your post I bought a 5 pack of WriteRight Universal Screen Protectors....Once cut to fit, I had exactly what I wanted: my screen is protected from scratches & it can fit easily in my pocket.

I replaced the stylus with a guitar pick. I stow it under my back cover. If I need a sylus & don't have a pen/pencil/something pointy nearby, I can just pop the cover & grab the pick.

About the only thing I need a stylus for anymore is the soft reset hole when I get a freeze once in a while. Will the guitar pick fit the hole? Not any that I know about, but a great idea to store a flat--oh, toothpick or something under the cover.

Re: Best Omnia Screen Protector?

no ,the pick won't work in the reset hole. If I have to reset & don't have something that fits in the soft reset hole I just cycle power with the power button. This hasn't been a big problem for me yet...I usually have something near by that will work. (paperclip, mechanical pencil...etc).

Re: Best Omnia Screen Protector?

bam0112....I LOVE the giutar pick idea!!!! Quite honestly I would do that as well, if I ever used a stylus!! I have my Omnia in a leather case that I keep a small paper-clip 'clipped' into the SD card holder.

I do find that I hardly ever use that either, but at least it is there if needed!!!

Re: Best Omnia Screen Protector?

I used the Zagg full body on my Omnia and I really like it so far. No orange look to mine at all(least not yet). I can see where it would help with protecting it. Put it on my wife's Blackberry also and it really looks good on both. No orange look on it either.

Pictures?

Orange peel look doesn't mean its not crystal clear, it certainly was for me, but at the right angle, you could see the "ripples" and "bumps" like a bad paint job.
