Re: A challenge to all gurus: Help me keep my phone!
But right clicking on each file in My Storage does not yield 8 Gigs.
The music folder indicates 958 files & 2.18 gig The other folders contain a few ringtones, a few small background pictures and the CAB files I've downloaded. It is all well under 3 gigs according to Explorer. Last edited by Cmass; 01-11-2009 at 08:51 PM. |

Well, I am confused. Are these ripped at a low bitrate? I have 600 songs, and they weigh in at 4gb.

Re: A challenge to all gurus: Help me keep my phone!
Using Omnia remotely.Keyboard won't come up upon reply to message. I got creative and cut and pasted this from my note taker! What the hell!?
------------ OK, back home now. That was weird. After screwing around with it for a while and changing every setting I could related to Internet, it appears to be related to "running scripts". When I turned that off, the button for the keyboard magically returned. Hmmm. At least I know what to do in the future. ------------ Two other Omnia-isms report and I am very curious for others to try this: * I use a blue tooth headset. (After buying and trying 3 pair, I've found the LG to be the best by far) If I sit still everything works fine. However, if I move around - especially if I lean down or shake it - the music cuts out. I think this is due to the accelerometer taking away resources from the processor. What else could it be? This means when I go hiking - which is when I am most likely to use it - it skips quite a bit. Have you found this problem with yours? Also - perhaps it is related I don't know - the thing plays noticeably faster in landscape mode than in portrait! I am an ex-semi professional musician so I'm very sensitive to pitch but this is quite distinct, and very weird. I've never heard of anything like it. Have you noticed this with yours? Update: Apparently there is a feature for changing the playback speed....so it is physically possible for this to happen. Perhaps it is a software glitch. Re: A challenge to all gurus: Help me keep my phone!
OK, it WAS the music folder!!
I cut and pasted it into my PC and it cleared the memory down to a few megs usage. HOWEVER, even my PC says the music file is 950 files and only 2.18 Gigs. Gremlins I guess. Whatever. |

Re: A challenge to all gurus: Help me keep my phone!
Hey what is the fastest way to get the blue tooth to turn on?
* It has been working a couple of hours ago * It is paired properly * I've tried every setting there is under the blue tooth menu * I've followed the instructions for turning on the phone, making certain the "mode" is "on", making sure the headset is "on", pushing the "connect" button on the headset. Basically everything I've always done. * I've tried erasing the device and re-pairing to no avail... |

Re: A challenge to all gurus: Help me keep my phone!
Its an emoticon evening...........
OK it just started getting so damn goofy I did a hard reset. I started getting errors at start up indicating files were missing, the blue tooth quit working, the MP3 skipped horribly...geesh what a mess. Luckily, I only have 2 registry changes to redo and all my cab files are kept in a safe place. Perhaps I need to introduce one item at a time. Or....test the vitals such as the MP3 player, camera & phone (which was hanging and the dial pad buttons took a long time to catch up if I dialed fast) |
