Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
Correct. So I'm trying to see if there's a way to change the current (and only) vibration pattern through the registry a bit, maybe to make it last longer, or even change it entirely.

I notice that not only does the phone not vibrate long enough for texts, but the notification sound is also about a tenth the level of the ringtone... and there doesn't seem to be a way to change this.

Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
Probably not what you wanted to hear, but for manipulating the vibrate time for a text, you can use a third party app like phonesuite, phonealarm, or a reminder app. I use OS reminder, and it isn't the fanciest app in the world, but it is small, free and does one thing....give me reminders at set intervals of unread texts with a message of my choice and a vibrate at the interval/and length of vibrate time I set.

Re: Omnia Hacks / Tips / Tricks
I know that for the Blackberry, you can get into the registry and edit the entry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/SMS and make a new string that would say 'V5', etc (5 being the number of seconds you would like the phone to vibrate for). I couldn't find anything like SMS under ControlPanel, though I did find VibeTonz, and Sounds. But alas, I'm not very good with the registry, so I'm not entirely sure if I could edit something here to change the vibration.
