HTC Home on Omnia i910

Ok, so I know it is a Samsung device and not an HTC but I figured that HTC Home runs on WM6 so it shouldn't really matter, right? I installed HTC Home v2.1 (patched by N2A) from www.pocketemu.com It seemed to install perfectly. It even added the new "HTC Home" tab to the "Today" settings menu. But it doens't load up. It doesn't matter what plugins I have checked, I've even tried all of them unchecked except HTC home. (BTW: I also installed HTC Home Customizer).

Any thoughts? Thanks...

Re: HTC Home on Omnia i910

I have HTC home installed on my omnia and it works fine. I unchecked the "Samsung Widget" from the Start/settings/today/items and checked "HTC Home". Im not sure which version I have, but it works perfectly... Will try to get more info for you.

Re: HTC Home on Omnia i910

I have the same exact issue as you Phantom! Heard about HTC Home and wanted to try it on my new Omnia, loaded it up and it does nothing. The only thing checked in my Today settings is the HTC plugin.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Well, the topic is basically about the HTC Home Plugin on the Omnia, not the Omnia UI on the Pro. Now I see you haven't gone back to my sticky earlier, so here's a tall frosty glass of BUSTED.

Ready!... Exercise!...

Re: HTC Home on Omnia i910

Ok I got it to work...

Here is what I did. There are 4 versions of HTC Home on www.pocketemu.com. I installed each one and then tested it. The last one I tried worked just fine. It is the one designed to work on WM5 and is only v1.5 but it seems to be working just fine.

Then I installed HTC Home Customizer and I was able to customize everything, including the custom weather.

I wish it was v2.1 but at least I got it working.

HTC Home is much better than Samsung Today 2

Re: HTC Home on Omnia i910

got screenshot of the HTC Home you are using?

EDIT:::

Found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=3002619

Seems to be a newer version 2.1 that is working for it.
