HTC youtube app on omnia?

Does the HTC youtube app work on the omnia? If not, is it likely it can be made to in the future?

Thanks.

Re: HTC youtube app on omnia?

I just tried it. and no. that was the one from xda developers. I also tried TCPMP or whatever that one is called and it doesn't do anything either.
I have no youtube. It scares me that there is not a thread here for that issue. Is it just me? I've googled it for solutions. I'm not getting anywhere with that either.

edit/ I'm sorry, I tried HTC media player from xda developers. So no I have not tried any specific HTC youtube software. I may search for that and try.

Re: HTC youtube app on omnia?

OMG. YES. xda developers.... search for youtubeplay.
Stand alone software that ends up in your programs folder.
I've seen youtube mobile on my old phone with HTC mediaplayer. it sucked so bad (low resolution) and this is SHARP. you can also save the file. way cool.
you also need to download the windows NET runtime, the link is there as well.
when it starts playing tap the picture for full screen.

Re: HTC youtube app on omnia?

I did get a version of the HTC Streaming Media to work, and it did work good! However, the "camcorder" part of the phone locks up when you try to use it. As a matter of fact, the whole phone locks up! Anyway, I've been using YouTube Player. It's OK, but does not open when your searching Youtube in PIE. It would be much better if it did!
