Re: Restore to CF03 between Flasing ROMs?
If you want to go back to a "clean slate" with the original CF03 software, you can do so with the original VZW update tool. Otherwise, you can keep flashing as long as you want with new ROMs without having to go back to the original.

Re: Restore to CF03 between Flasing ROMs?
Thanks. Now I just have to figure a work around for the fact that since my computer got upgraded to Windows 7, I haven't been able to successfully install the Windows Mobile Device Center and use it to install anything to my phone. Either I have to use Bluetooth to transfer CAB files, or set the USB connection to files only, cause there's no ActiveSync now.

Re: Restore to CF03 between Flasing ROMs?
Hi. Thanks, I had found that earlier and tried it, but the problem is not needing a Samsung driver.
I'm pretty convinced that my Windows 7 won't update the Mobile Device Center because I may not have the necessary admin privileges needed for that kind of installation, so the MsiInstaller won't complete the install of the updated WMDC drivers. The only way around this, short of having the IT people at work change my privileges to that of full admin, is to do an install off of my flash card. I've read people do that successfully with their HTC Touch Pro 2, by unlocking their phones with an SSPL file on their root drive and an nbh file on the card itself. I was just about to start a new thread asking if anyone knows whether that'll work on an Omnia. |
