Will there be a ROM for the Verizon Omnia 2??

I'm planning on upgrading my phone to the Omnia 2 on Dec 2nd. Currently running BW's ROM and loving it. The O2 will have WM 6.5 but doesn't look like it has any of the tweaks (like the Start & OK buttons on the bottom of the screen). So I'm wondering if any of the Omnia cooks are looking at upgrading to the Omnia 2 and if there's a chance we'll see some custom ROM's for the O2??

The phone is supposedly going to ship with WM 6.1 on it, and there will be a 6.5 upgrade very soon (unless that has changed). This is good, because once the upgrade is released, then the cooked ROMs should start appearing soon after. Until there's a way to actually update the phone, there probably won't be any news.

The Omnia 2 has been confirmed to be coming with 6.5. I'm thinking it will take a bit to get another update for it.

Yeah, unfortunatly, the O2 will come with an OS that is older than what most of us are running.

They may have waited too long to get it out, but Samsung is reporting that Verizon will release the Omnia II, December 2, 2009. http://www.samsungusanews.com/ With all the new Droid stuff, It may not get the hype it should, and they missed black Friday, but that may have been planned too. Anyway, $199.00 with a new 2 yr plan. Oh yea, WinMo 6.5 Pro is on board!
p.s. Blaze, We sure miss your great ROMs over at the OmniaRom site :(

5 Attachment(s)
I got some pics of the O2 VZW will release wednesday. Sorry for the quality. Notice that it is an i920, not a i8000 as has been seen on this and other threads. It comes with a "built into case" stylus (no more dangle), a 1500 mha battery (the one you got now won't work) http://omniarom.com/forum/Smileys/default/cry.gif ,a concave back, Dual speakers. VZW says it can only take a 16gb SD card, and it has 8gb on board storage. The Main Storage is 187 Mb w/ 87Mb used as shipped. I didn't get to play with it too much, so that's about all the report I can give for now. I'm not sure I still want it, allthough the AMOLED screen is a much better screen then anything I've seen on any phone.
That's all I got for now, I'll let you know if I come up with anything further.
