It doesn't need a cooked ROM yet. A really great tool. give me a chance to put it thru it's paces, and I'll let you know what I think.

I just picked up the Omnia 2 yesterday. Def more responsive than the i910 with a much better screen overall. The thing really is sharp. Though I'm still getting used to WM 6.5 that it came with. (My i910 had the CF03 WM 6.1) I noticed they took out some useful tools and that annoys me. There's no rotation settings, I cant map the screen to rotate to a button, I still gotta figure out if there's a quick way to turn on the flash as a flashlight, and a few other minor things that I got used to in WM 6.1. Though I was very happy to see that Internet Sharing (once installed) worked like a charm. Would have returned the phone if it didnt. Oh and btw....Swype is frickin awesome!

when i ordered mine today, the guy I was talking to said there will be an update pushed out in the near future. winmo 6.7 is what he said it was, I would think it may just be a build update to 6.5.

You can do the rotation mapping after some registry tweaking, have a look here

I got the omnia 2 today and the notification bar with the 4 icons on the bottom disappeared.... VZW techs couldn't help...did not reappear after a reset to factory....?? Any ideas?

i am running the touchwiz, and the 4 across the bottom don't appear unless an event triggers them. call or text yourself and see what happens.

There is already an 'Internet Sharing' icon on the Samsung Omnia II on Bell Mobility but I'm not sure why they would have that on the phone, my guess is that there are no more unlimited plans with Bell (except the grandfathered one I'm already on) and that people with 1 and 2 GB plans can now tether.
Anyway I's rather wait for a new ROM to come out or another 'Internet Sharing' .cab.

i have the verizon omnia II. internet sharing files were removed.
