Moment 2.2 Froyo Test rom - Barely working

This "ROM" Is not stable. Not for everyday use, and is for those who really want to try froyo on the moment. The progress is slowly getting better. Compiled directly from the AOSP source tree with the 2.2.1 tree. Just a fair warning: Please Please Please backup your system and data with the SDX Recovery. There is a attached zip that will format system and data for you to restore your back ups.

Pre-reqs:
SDX Recovery (3.1.1) is what I am using
I am using a custom kernel (kronenpj v6)

Works:
System (That is it!)
Graphics Are better than before.
Touch Screen

Release 2 (11/24/10)


Doesn't Work:
Blue-tooth
Wifi
CDMA Data
Hardware buttons

Kinda Works:
CDMA Calls

Changes (v2):
Graphics are not choppy.
Radio is closer to working. It reads its connected to a network (evdo r.A) but phone/msid are "unknown"



How to get this to work:

If your phone is completely stock:
1: Download this zip
2. Go to the Samsung updater's directory
3. Backup your Models directory
4. Replace it with the files from the zip.
5. Run the updater it will flash the custom recovery.
6. once the phone restarts you have to pull the battery if you have DJ06/DI07
- i did this for the following 2 reboots

If you have the custom recovery installed:
1: Place the zip on your SDcard in the sdx/zip folder
2. Power down your phone.
3. press and hold the Vol Down + Phone + Power button at the same time.
4. Back up your system/data if you'd like
5. Select update from zip.. select the one you downloaded.
6. cross your fingers and hope it works

that is my problem I can't find my cable to find out what is dieing. It seems like rild is crashing too because it will have cell service (not data) but on one of the soft crashes it will come back with no service

if i can be of help, let me know. i see a few threads on this on sdx and other sites but looks like no one was able to get it going.

from what i'm being told, it shouldn't be a difficult port from the acclaim to the moment. this is good news

I'm still tinkering with it. I'm thinking we're going to need someone to custom write a RIL for it. Going to start the task but I don't know c++ all that much.

looks like little over on sdx is working on cynaogenmod 6 for moment. just released an alpha testing version. may be worth looking into. looks like he got radio working (barely).

got the radio 1/2 working. trying to do it on my own i'm going to mess with it more tonight and tomorrow after I get out of class. I really want to get it to work.
