Rooting for dummy guide need please
ok guys before i get yelled at i have read every article on rooting for like 10 website and i cant figure this crap out for nothing. i rooted my hero perfectly fine but im having so much trouble rotting this.. i tried the sdk way but i cant get comman prompt to reconize anything... so can some one PLEASe give me a stepby step way on how to get this crap rooted i want it rooted so i can use the wifi tetering.apk but it require root acess... im on aim 24/7 screen name is kingkongs2000... or if someone can provide a very detailed step by step tht would be so lovely...

ok guys i got the odin way to work but the wireless tether for root user.apk i insralled it and i no longer get any permission error but when i start the appliation it says it running cant my labtop or my iphone cant pick it up

I heard that it is very buggy. Try just using PDAnet to tether if USB doesn't bug you.
